The Use of Stearic Acid

These acids are acids that are very rich in fats and they are received from various animals or plants. These acids are used in the manufacturing of soaps, shampoos, and cosmetics. They are not used directly in the manufacturing process of soaps or shampoos but they are used through a systematic scientific process. You can also explore these acids from cocoa beans, these are not butter in reality but these are fats found in cocoa beans. Stearic acid is also found in cocoa butter, she butter, and other vegetable fats, as well as in animal tallow. This is also approved by the experts as an ingredient in various cosmetic products, it is used as a surfactant. Stearic acid is most often used to thicken and maintain the shape of soaps (indirectly, through the saponification of triglycerides consisting of stearic acid esters) and is also used in shampoos, shaving creams and detergents.

It is known that the properties of concrete such as compressive strength, water permeability, impermeability, and durability are influenced by the microstructure of the hardened cement paste. In particular, for the durability of concrete, the impermeability of cementations’ materials is the most critical property among the various properties. Recently, many types of materials, such as organic and/or inorganic materials, are being used to waterproof concrete. In this study, the effect of stearic acid in adding proportions on the hydration and impermeability properties of the cement was investigated. And we also talked about changing the microstructure in the hardened cement paste by adding stearic acid. Cement paste with stearic acid showed improved sealing by reducing the total pore volume of the cement and the decomposition of stearic acid.

Sodium gluconate

It can be used as an additive in concrete; it is present in concrete as a reducing and water retardant. This gluconate sodium cannot be used with other chemicals that are used alone often. But it can be used in the combination of the reader such as carbohydrates.

 Superplasticizers (SP)

The superplasticizer which is also known as high-end water reducers are additives used in the production of high-strength concrete. Plasticizers are chemical compounds that enable the production of concrete with roughly around 15% less water content and reduce the level of water in concrete and make a concrete workable.
